[Top Ten Tuesday] Bookworm Delights

a weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish
(I forgot that it's no longer ".com" but ".co.id", sorry >.<)

This Tuesday's topic is pretty interesting for me: it's time for telling the world the happiest time between me and my beloved one books!

RAIN AND BOOK AND HOT BEVERAGE? PERFECT!
I usually read in perfect silence, no music, not even my sisters brother babbling about things—well, I have to spare times for mommy daddy talks tho, unless my books will be their victims. :" But the sound of the rain is an exception. Whenever I read, and the day was so gloomy it was about to rain, my heart began to sink into happiness as I was ready to welcome the rain with book and hot milk tea.

"SAY CHEEEEESE!"
Even if I'm not a good photographer, I always found photographing session with books is entertaining! Believe me I can spend hours taking photos then staring and editing the result of the photos although most of the photos won't be uploaded.

SNIFF SNIFF~
No bookworms are able to resist the smell of book, whether it's new or old, they have their own lovely smells. That moment when you enter the bookstore.. and that moment when you open your bookshelves.. oh I love the smell of book more than my perfume! Perfume makes me sneeze. .-.

YELLOWED BOOKS
Not everyone loves their books turning yellow. I personally see this as a kind of happiness. I don't know.. it just feels different when I see the yellowed old book and the fresh new book. The yellowed one looks soooo historical, like wow I have owned this book since ages ago!

THE BOOK CHARACTER LOVES BOOK TOO
Somehow it makes me happy: it feels like I found a new friend in my imaginary world. And I would be more thrilled if the character mentioned one or more of my favorite book/s!

GET FREE BOOK (FROM WISHLIST)
Who doesn't love free book? Especially when the book is already written in your wishlist for sooo long and especially when that book is no longer available in any bookstore! T_T

... AND THE WINNER IS ...
That moment when you win a giveaway... indescribable feeling, eh? ^^ Well, this point is almost the same like previous point, but the difference is in this point we need effort and much a bit of luck. xD I'm not giveaway hunter who always seek for giveaway every month (no offense), but when there's event and there's tons of giveaways (like this month), I can enter almost all those giveaways (although the God of Fortune doesn't choose me this time.. *sobs*). :')))

RANDOMLY FOUND BOOK LOVER IN PUBLIC
To be honest most of my classmates don't have any interest in books, probably just two or three mates (and of course we ended up being best friend xD). It honestly makes me feeling a bit lost whenever I bump into a bunch of group who thinks reading is weird. So when I see someone reading in public... it makes me more like feeling saved than happy. Well it makes me happy too but in different way. There was one time when I saw a book lover reading and we were in the same bus and I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day.. .-.

WEARING SHIRT RELATED TO BOOKS
"Hey look at me I'm a bookworm what about you are you bookworm too hey lets be friend we can discuss about our fave books sometimes inside our tent filling with piles of books and maybe we can drink together too," said me who wears book-shirt walking inside the mall through crowds of people alone.

BEING THE FIRST ONE READING A HIDDEN GEM BOOK
Well it's pride-and-happy feeling actually. xD

So that's my version of bookish things that make me happy. What about yours? ^^

  3. Mine would be a rainy vacation day which is quite rare. A weekend at home is also good time to relax and read :)

    1. I also found it difficult to read in rainy days in vacation: the middle of the year seems to have a loooong summer until the year ends. T_T
