Most Anticipated Releases on First Half 2019

a weekly meme adopted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hello guys! How's your first week of 2019? I myself didn't do much, tho.. just having a one day trip with my family and grandmas and cousin and her new-born baby boy! Very crowded, indeed, but fun! Hope you guys also have a great time with your family or buddies~ 😄

Alright! Back to this week topic: what books you mostly can't wait to be released and read by the first half of 2019? Here's my list! The first 3 books are on my very top list btw!!! ♥

Slayer by Kiersten White
Expected publication: 8th of January, 2019
It released TODAY!!! I was so DAMN happy when two days ago I found this book. I'm a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and so ready to another story related to that bad-ass Buffy! God I'm so excited I might burst into tears!!!
To Night Owl from Dogfish by Holly Goldberg Sloan
Expected publication: 12th of February, 2019
I'm so in love with Counting by 7s so I'm really interested in finding how this book would turn out!
The Mermaid's Voice Returns in This One by Amanda Lovelace
Expected publication: 5th of March, 2019
I love the first installment of this series, and even I haven't read the second book yet, I can't wait for this one!

Bookish Worlds I'd Never Want to Live In

a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

For me, reading a book feel almost the same as taking a journey to another place, but no charge. Most of the time, I lost in book I always feel disorientated after taking a long journey being in someone else's shoes. And most of the time, I rather choose to live inside the book for its magical and beautiful things I never experienced in real life. But.. once a while, there are also times when I feel so thankful living in this nothing-amazing life of mine because the world inside the book is literally SU*K!

So here's my list of bookish worlds I hate from the books I love~

The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Although I hate the last book of this series, I still love the first and the second installment. But uh, well, who wants to live inside terror-maze then soon would be turned into zombies (Crank) food?! I rather not!

The Host by Stephenie Meyer
Even if I love this book with whole my heart, I never want to live in a world where some strange species invade not only our world but also our mind..

The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey
Again, who wants to be zombies (Hungries) food?!!!

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I really LOVE both its books and movies but NO.. I never want to volunteer my live for being Katniss nor her allies.. xD

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys
This isn't dystopia world. It was real world but in a war zone. Seriously, I can't help but feel so thankful I wasn't in Lina's time.. :'( but then I also feel ashamed for being thankful.. >.<

I haven't read dystopia or war or zombies book lately so that's all for my list. But well.. I wanna add one title. It's a manga I haven't read but already watched the anime version of it, and I think it could be in the list too: Attack on Titan by Hajime Isayama—seriously, even if I love Levi and the titan's form of Eren and being one of them is super COOL, I don't wanna live in a world where I could be eaten by those filthy titans. >.<

So that's my Tuesday pick, what's yours? Feel free to share! ;)

Ten Best Character Names

a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Best character name for me means name that really suit the book and its feel. Sometimes it's unique. Sometimes it just there and whenever we mention the name we would surely know from what book they are. ^^

Anamique & Mihai from Lips Touch by Laini Taylor
I never heard such unique names (both names are not related in that book, tho).

Shadow & Wednesday from American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Not everyday we met people named Shadow and Wednesday.. ^^

Pepper & Blue from A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers
A couple of lovely weird names.

Sissix from The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Just don't make me say her full name! xD

Little Bee from Little Bee by Chris Cleave
A bittersweet name for a bittersweet book! >.<

Katniss & Primrose Everdeen from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
These names seems sweet but strong at the same time.

What's your best book-character names? ^^

Top 10 Favorite Book Quotes

a weekly meme adopted by That Artsy Reader Girl

To be honest, I have tons of favorite book quotes. I have read almost four hundred books, and if a book has as least two great quotes, then how many if we really count all of those pretty words? *crying* T_T So yeah, this Tuesday topic is definitely difficult. I want to write them all down here, of course, but it would be literally impossible. I have the urge to only write some book quotes about books, but at the same time I can't just throw away words from my favorite Jane Eyre or The Perks of Being a Wallflower's Charlie or Counting by 7s' Willow.

1. "So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be."
—Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower

2. "It's a shame, Kath, because we've loved each other all our lives. But in the end, we can't stay together forever."
—Kazuo Ishiguro, Never Let Me Go

3. "I'm stardust. I'm golden brown. I'm just one small bit in a vast expanse."
—Holly Goldberg Sloan, Counting by 7s

Books I Could re-Read Over and Over Again!

a weekly meme by That Artsy Reader Girl

In my dictionary, favorite books is just different from books that I could re-read forever. Books that I could re-read is definitely my favorite, but my favorites doesn't mean I could re-read them again (this is usually because the book is way too thick or the story's way too complicated so I decided not to re-read them because, well.. I still have so much piles of unread books I REALLY wanna read and that's already making me confused which one of those dearest should I read first to start decreasing the piles~). So, it doesn't really take too much time to choose which books I already re-read for how-many-times-I-didn't-even-counting and which books I would like to re-read..

Here's the list!

Books That Have Been on My TBR the Longest and I Still Haven't Read

a weekly meme by That Artsy Reader Girl

I'm definitely an expert in stacking so much books on my little library, and by stacking means... haven't read them all for.. uuuh, years. I don't remember exactly how long because I'm not the type to write every birth-date (the day those books came to me and be my children) of my books. So yeah.. in order to list this week Top Ten Tuesday, I'm going to try (really hard) to remember which books that have been breathing dust for too long on my little library, but also with the help of my Goodreads to-read bookshelf.

Here's the list!

[Top Ten Tuesday] Bookworm Delights

a weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish
(I forgot that it's no longer ".com" but ".co.id", sorry >.<)

This Tuesday's topic is pretty interesting for me: it's time for telling the world the happiest time between me and my beloved one books!

RAIN AND BOOK AND HOT BEVERAGE? PERFECT!
I usually read in perfect silence, no music, not even my sisters brother babbling about things—well, I have to spare times for mommy daddy talks tho, unless my books will be their victims. :" But the sound of the rain is an exception. Whenever I read, and the day was so gloomy it was about to rain, my heart began to sink into happiness as I was ready to welcome the rain with book and hot milk tea.

"SAY CHEEEEESE!"
Even if I'm not a good photographer, I always found photographing session with books is entertaining! Believe me I can spend hours taking photos then staring and editing the result of the photos although most of the photos won't be uploaded.

SNIFF SNIFF~
No bookworms are able to resist the smell of book, whether it's new or old, they have their own lovely smells. That moment when you enter the bookstore.. and that moment when you open your bookshelves.. oh I love the smell of book more than my perfume! Perfume makes me sneeze. .-.

[Top Ten Tuesday] Books That Will Make You Laugh or At Least Chuckle

a weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish
(i know this pict doesn't have any relation with book. sorry not sorry, i love them. :p)

The topic for this Tuesday is "books that will make you laugh". The definition of funny is different for people, so I'm not really sure if these books will make you laugh as hard as I did. And since most of the books are in Bahasa, instead of using English I'll use Bahasa in this Top Ten Tuesday.

[Top Ten Tuesday] All Time Favorite Authors

a weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish

This Tuesday topic is about all time favorite authors, which the meaning for me is the author whose books succeed in leaving a special and deep impression in me. Here's the list, half of them are Indonesian authors. ^^

Tere Liye. I haven't read all of his books, just several of them. But I won't hesitate put him on the first list in my favorite author because.. God! His books always left me with tons of emotion and tears! Also I like his books because it always seems real and so-human (pardon my ugly words) and just because of its simplicity!
Orizuka. If I want to read something light but full of lesson, I will definitely pick Orizuka's. I love her because her books always make me smile every time I close the last page of hers. Other reason that makes me favorite her is because she is friendly. I would definitely so GLAD if someday I could meet her and talk about much things like friends usually do! :3

[Top Ten Tuesday] Ten Book Related Problems I Have

This Tuesday's topic is about problems we have which are related to books. Well.. I have some.. errr, I mean a lot problems while reading. Does buying books also included in this topic? If it is yes, then I have a looot.

SLOW PACE OF FIRST CHAPTERS
When I start reading book, I often take a lot of time, usually it is because of the slow pace of the first chapters. There are two options for this problem: continue reading or just leave it. I choose the second option the most lately. (One of the reason I have slow progress in reading.. ;_;)

"HEY, DO YOU KNOW BLAH BLAH .... ?!"
I hate being interrupted while reading! I can't remember how many times someone keep asking me about unimportant stuffs while I'm reading. Oh, please.. don't you see I'm reading now?! :'( This happened too last night: I was almost done reading Allegiant and that was the moment I started crying then my brother came and talked to me about the flavor of new mineral water he drank moment ago. I really want to punch his face with this book. Really!

CLIFFHANGER ENDING
You've just finished the first book in the series and it ends with cliffhanger ending and you can't do anything but wait for a thousand year for the next book. Cool!

BOOK HANGOVER
That feeling you got when you've just finished a book and it's already days but you still couldn't go anywhere but kept holding that book. Example: Dear Roth, I'm still shocked with the ending of Allegiant. *rewind, rewind, rewind*

[Top Ten Tuesday] Most Anticipated 2015 Debuts

New year, new authors, new debuts! ^^

What I do mostly in Goodreads are stalking the listopia: to search for new books or sometimes new authors or just browsing without knowing what I really do. When new year comes, I usually browse about new released books, mostly YA or contemporary. But since this Tuesday's topic is about 2015 debuts, I browsed about new author's debuts and caught some beauties.

[Top Ten Tuesday] Top New Series I Want to Start

Selain menjadi pewarna blog yang isinya review melulu, this also would be a sign that this blog is still alive.. :') For the reviews, aku lagi nyicil bayar utang review juga sebenernya.. selow sajaaa.. :p

Then I said to myself: "Welcome to the so called meme of Tuesday, Linda! Jangan aja lo lupa meme hari Rabu dan Jumat yang selama ini lo tinggalin." xD Aku ikut meme khusus Selasa ini nggak setiap minggu kok. Kalau temanya lagi asyik aja baru deh aku mau ikutan. Kalo nggak, yah.. yah.. yah.. bolos! *tukang bolos* So this Tuesday topic is:

October 21: "Top New Series I Want To Start" (New..let's say within the last year or two)

Well.. there are so many series I've always wanted to start reading but most of them are old series. I don't think I can mention ten of them. But as already been told in the page of the host, it doesn't have to be ten, just mention as much as you can. Okay, here are series I want to start reading but still haven't got time to read or haven't got enough money to buy all the complete series. :p
